The Miami Chapter of the Meharry National Alumni Association Inc., cordially invites you to participate in a milestone event, a tribute to recognize the contributions and service to the South Florida community and beyond of Drs. George and Dazelle Simpson.
The tribute is April 19, 2013 at the Hyatt Regency Miami, from 7:00 pm - 11:00 pm. The Simpsons' combined service to Miami, the State of Florida, and nationally, exceeds 113 years. Their service spans from their private practices in medicine to becoming founding members of many community development projects, board members of numerous health care institutions, assuming leadership roles in local, state and national organizations, to training future physicians. Each of them in their own right is a pioneer and trailblazer, achieving many firsts, such as the first African Americans to become board certified to practice Surgery and Pediatrics in the state of Florida. Join us as we celebrate the legacy of Drs. George and Dazelle Simpson.
